A movie review: Clash of the Titans (2010)

Clash of the Titans is a remake of the 1981 film of the same name. The movie's plot is about Greek myths, which for example includes angry gods and huge creatures. The movie has many Hollywood stars such as Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Gemma Arterton and Mads Mikkelsen, but still, the movie fails to impress in almost any possible way. It's really trying to be visually impressive, but too much is just too much. The movie critics have also been giving the film mainly poor reviews, but the big audience bought the story and the film has been a huge success in theaters.

I quess this film is probably made for children or adults, who have a little child in their mind. The film has a love story, a bad guy and a hero. Why change a concept that works? The story lacks to have any original idea, but with good actors it does what its suppose to do. On the other hand, I could almost smell the money that the producers of this movie had in mind, when I was watching this. When I had watched this movie for 10 minutes, it just was all too clear how this movie would end. Thats why watching this movie was a bit annoying and boring for me.

However, Clash of the Titans was one the biggest success-stories of the year in theaters and with all those people this movie must have something. Even thought you want to say that it was a bad film in all ways, you still have to see it. The subject of the movie is really that interesting. The good actors quarantees that this film can not be terribly bad. I give 4/10 stars for this.
